Write the card message in a minute
Choose the occasion, who the card is for and the tone. Add a name or one real detail and get six messages to edit, copy or print.
Or browse by occasion
Every page below has a library of hand-written messages grouped by who the card is for and by tone, and the same builder on top.
How the builder works
Each message is put together from four kinds of hand-written pieces: an opener, a middle, a wish and a sign-off. The builder picks pieces that fit the relationship you chose (a message to a mother-in-law reads differently from one to a best friend), fills in the name and details you typed, and fixes small things such as “a” and “an” so it reads like a person wrote it.
Leave the details empty and you still get usable messages. Add one true detail, such as the road trip to Chicago or twenty-five years at the clinic, and the message stops sounding generic. Edit any message right in the box; the counter tells you whether it fits a half-fold, 5x7 or 4x6 card.
Why not just ask a chatbot?
You can, but you will get the same smooth paragraph everyone else gets. Here you choose the tone yourself, see six options at once, change a sentence by hand and print it, with nothing to sign in to and nothing you type leaving your browser.
Every message can be printed as a card insert (half-fold, 5x7 or 4x6, on Letter or A4 with crop marks). The first insert in a session is free with a small "Made free at Card Messages" line; the Card Pack ($2.99 one-time) removes the line and adds every size and style.
Questions
Is it free?
Yes. The builder, every message on the page and copying the text are free. The first printable insert in a session is free too, with a small "Made free at Card Messages" line. The Card Pack is $2.99 one-time.
Are these messages written by AI?
No. The library is written by hand. The builder fills hand-written sentence templates with the details you type, in your browser, so nothing you type is sent anywhere to be rewritten.
What occasions does it cover?
Graduation (kindergarten, high school, college and grad school), Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, retirement, teacher thank-you notes and letters, wedding thank-you cards, and graduation announcement and invitation wording.
How long should a card message be?
Two to four sentences is plenty. A one-liner suits a card from a group, a short message suits most cards, and a paragraph is for the people closest to you. The counter shows how much room your card has.
Can I make cards for a whole class?
Yes, with the Card Pack: paste a list of names and get one message per name as a multi-page PDF. See pricing.
